JAMAICA COMES HOME

I drove up to Vancouver, Canada yesterday to pick up my Sugar Bay's Jamaica, who I bought back (for a hefty price) from a breeder in Ottawa. Jamaica had a difficult labor on her last litter and wasn't producing the number of puppies the breeder wanted. This can be all business to so many people breeding. Jamaica is only three years old and she has already had two litters. For anyone who sells one of their dogs outside of the USA, it doesn't matter what you have written in your contract, it is not enforceable. If you care about your dogs, don't do it.

MY DAUGHTER CAME FOR A QUICK VISIT FROM LA/ PUPPIES ARE 5 WEEKS OLD

My daughter Gibran came up from Los Angeles to teach at the NW Writers Conference in Portland last week and then drove up to see her mum and the puppies. She had to fly back on Friday so it was a quick trip. Then we had new visitors on Saturday afternoon after Oscar and I returned from his agility class; Sister Mary and her friend Camille. I met Sister Mary at an IABCA dog show years ago. She normally plays with Irish Wolfhounds so Cotons are somewhat smaller :-) Oscar was flying through the course at his class at K-9 Kappers in Shelton. He's a smart boy. We were running around too much to get photos of that.

FOUR WEEKS OLD TOMORROW

I set-up the Pull N' Play Puppy Gym today that I got from www.barkeninstyle.com .
They had a great time noticing all the hanging toys and colorful attached flowers etc. The photos from the top are of Beignet who looks like her beautiful mum, then Courvoisier/Cognac..., the two of them, and last a photo of Courvoisier/Voisier/Cognac/ ..not sure yet etc.
From this last photo, he deserves a strong name. Heaven help me, I need to make up my mind.
